About this module

FuseHide by XiaoTong hides files and folders on /sdcard from the apps you choose. It works inside MediaProvider, the process that serves shared storage to apps, by hooking its FUSE code in libfuse_jni.so. This page is the standalone Zygisk build, synced from the main FuseHide repository.

What it can hide

  • Top-level entries under /storage/emulated/0, per app.
  • Nested paths such as Download/private, while the parent folder stays visible.
  • Global rules plus app-specific rules, applied to both directory listings and direct access.
  • It also shortens cache timeouts and invalidates cached entries so hidden files don't leak through cached results.
  • Changes are hot-reloaded into the running MediaProvider, and you can check what's actually applied there.

Two ways to load it

  • Standalone Zygisk (this zip): flash it as a root module. It needs a working Zygisk implementation and uses Dobby for native hooks.
  • LSPosed / libxposed: install the same file as an app and enable it as an Xposed module scoped to MediaProvider.

If LSPosed already has FuseHide scoped to MediaProvider, the Zygisk module disables itself at boot so it doesn't inject twice. The zip contains libraries for arm64, arm, x86 and x86_64; the installer verifies the APK signature and picks your architecture.

Requirements

  • Android 12 (API 31) or newer.
  • MediaProvider as com.android.providers.media.module or com.google.android.providers.media.module.
  • For this build, a root manager that installs Magisk-style modules and a Zygisk implementation.

FuseHide hooks internal MediaProvider and FUSE code that isn't a public API, so an Android update, a MediaProvider update or a vendor ROM can break it.
