Zygisk Detach prevents selected installed packages from appearing under Google Play Store update management by intercepting the relevant binder communication through Zygisk.

Installation and Selection
- Enable Magisk's Zygisk or install a compatible standalone Zygisk provider for KernelSU, APatch, or another supported root environment.
- Install Zygisk Detach through the root manager and reboot so the native hook can load.
- Run
detachfrom Termux, usesu -c /data/adb/modules/zygisk-detach/detachelsewhere, or open a supported graphical interface. - Select the packages to detach. Upstream states that selection changes are applied immediately without another reboot.
Portable Configuration
The active serialized selection is stored as /data/adb/modules/zygisk-detach/detach.bin. A copy can be placed inside a module archive when maintaining the same package set across clean installs or ROM changes.
For a readable alternative, add detach.txt to the archive with one Android package name per line. The installer converts that list into its binary representation.
Scope and Limitations
Detaching changes how the Play Store sees selected installations; it does not freeze the APK, block updates from other stores, or remove an application's own updater. Package reinstallation, Play Store changes, or a disabled Zygisk environment can alter the result.
Holding an old version may preserve a required feature but can also retain known security defects. Review release notes and detach only packages where the compatibility reason outweighs the update risk.
