ZNNext by VeryBaaad is an open-source module written from scratch that implements the Zygisk Next API. Since Zygisk Next went closed source (v1.2.0-preview1), it supports "Zygisk Next modules" with inline and PLT hooking helpers and HyperOS Runtime injection; ZNNext exists so those modules can be loaded by open code.
Requirements
- Magisk 26402+, KernelSU with ksud 11425+ (kernel 10940+), or APatch 10700+. The installer refuses a setup with more than one root solution.
- Android 5.0 up to Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1, or GrapheneOS, on Linux 3.17 or newer.
- Injector builds for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86, x86_64 and riscv64 are included.
Kernel event tracking is optional. It uses tracefs sched_process_exec events first, then the proc connector and eBPF, and can fall back to polling /proc, which needs no kernel support.
What runs at boot
post-fs-data.sh creates /data/adb/zygisknextsu and starts the injector from the module folder. The module also ships a sepolicy.rule that allows file execution and access to tracefs instances, which the event tracking uses.
Installation
- Install the release zip in your root manager.
- Reboot.
Only bug reports made with the latest debug build are accepted; debug builds are on GitHub Actions. Version 2.0.0 renamed the project from "Zygisk Next Next" to ZNNext. Module developers can start from 5ec1cff's ZygiskNextModuleSample. GPL-3.0.
