Xperia 10 III GA Button Remapper

Magisk KSU APatch

Xperia 10 III GA Button Remapper (by jakobfridesjo)

What it does

This lightweight Magisk module remaps the Google Assistant (GA) button on the Sony Xperia 10 III (PDX-213).

  • Long-press of the side/power button → instead of launching Google Assistant, it now launches the default Camera app.
  • Short-press still works as normal (screen on/off, power menu).

It is a simple, set-and-forget module with no settings menu.

Metadata

Features

  • Direct remap: Assistant long-press → Camera launch
  • No extra permissions or apps needed
  • Very small module (~5–7 KB)
  • Reversible (uninstall + reboot to restore original behavior)

Installation

  1. Download the zip from the GitHub repo (or from MMRL if you want newer forks by lufei).
  2. Flash via your root manager (Magisk → Modules → Install from storage, or KernelSU/APatch).
  3. Reboot.

Important Notes & Warnings

  • Works only on Xperia 10 III (PDX-213).
  • Completely disables the Google Assistant button. To use Assistant again, you must uninstall the module and reboot.
  • May conflict with other button remappers, accessibility services, or gesture apps.
  • On some Xperia 10 III firmware versions, Sony provides an official “Assistant Button Override” in Settings → System → Gestures (you may not need this module if that’s available).
  • Newer forks exist in MMRL (by lufei, up to v3.1.2) with possible improvements — check there if you want the latest version.

Would you like me to find the latest download link (MMRL or GitHub) or help check if your Xperia 10 III already has Sony’s built-in button remapping option?
