Sui is a Magisk module that gives compatible root applications Shizuku-style Java APIs and a root service without adding a separate manager app.
Java APIs for Root Apps
Sui connects app-side Binder calls to a root process through Zygisk or Riru.
Structured APIs
Lets supported apps call Android framework APIs with elevated privileges.
Binder bridge
Publishes a root service to app processes through system-server integration.
Integrated management
Exposes management entry points through Settings shortcuts or the dialer code.
How Sui differs from su
A normal su shell returns command text that an app must parse. Sui gives cooperating apps Java objects and Binder services through the Shizuku API, which is more suitable for framework operations. It does not replace Magisk as the root provider and does not change applications that only know how to invoke su.
Variants and requirements
The v13.5.1 release provides separate Zygisk and Riru packages. Both require Magisk; the Riru package also requires a compatible Riru installation. The upstream instructions do not document KernelSU, KernelSU Next, or APatch support for this release.
Installation
- Select the Zygisk or Riru package that matches the injection framework already in use.
- Install Sui from Magisk's module interface or use Install from storage for the release ZIP.
- Reboot, then open Sui from its Settings shortcut or the dialer code
*#*#784784#*#*.
Management and shell
On Android 8.0 and newer, a launcher that supports dynamic shortcuts can expose Sui through a long press on Settings. The module also documents an entry in Developer options. Sui includes an optional interactive rish shell, but it does not put its binaries in PATH automatically; the supplied post-install example explains the manual setup.
