Under the Hood: Smart Categorization
Sortify operates as a 100% offline, lightweight background service utilizing native system resources. By parsing your /sdcard/Download/ directory, it matches file extensions against its smart categorization logic, moving files into specific subfolders like Documents, Images, Videos, Audio, and Archives.
To maintain data integrity, Sortify scans the filenames before execution. If it encounters extensions like .crdownload, .partial, or .tmp, the operation skips those specific files to avoid interrupting active browser or app downloads. Any duplicate files discovered during the sorting process are seamlessly routed to /sdcard/Sortify/Duplicates.
