How It Works
Modern Android operating systems handle hardware display cutouts (such as notches or punch-hole cameras) by reserving a specific top margin in the display framework. This natively results in an unused black bar during fullscreen activities, particularly in landscape orientation.
Notch Bar Killer intervenes by injecting a custom display configuration via a systemless overlay. It modifies the default display_cutout framework values, instructing the Android Window Manager to render the user interface without those reserved blackout zones.
