NetBlock acts as a powerful per-application network firewall solution built for rooted Android setups. It gives users full control to restrict internet access on chosen apps while keeping others fully connected and operational across the device.

Functions and Uses

This module provides essential tools for precise network management through a user-friendly web interface that lets individuals toggle restrictions on both user-added and built-in system applications. It fully supports IPv4 and IPv6 protocols to block all related traffic without gaps. Extra capabilities cover exporting and importing block configurations as simple JSON files stored in the downloads folder for quick backups and restores. An automatic verification service also runs in the background to monitor and instantly recover firewall rules if they ever get removed or altered by other processes.

How the Module Works

The module functions at the system kernel level by setting up and maintaining iptables rules that enforce the selected blocks right after installation through supported root environments. Once active, users open the dedicated web interface to switch blocking options on or off for any app, refresh the full application list on demand, switch views between user and system apps, run immediate rule checks, or clear every restriction in one step. Proper root access is essential for full operation, and certain root frameworks may need a small additional component to unlock the complete interface. This design delivers reliable, lightweight network control that never slows down the device beyond the intended restrictions.
