Mi Boot Replacer

Magisk KSU APatch

Personalize your device's startup experience. Mi Boot Replacer by Veutexus is a straightforward, systemless module that injects custom boot animations and sounds into Xiaomi devices, fully supporting both MIUI and HyperOS environments.

Custom Boot Experience

Ditch the boring stock startup screens and give your Xiaomi device a fresh, personalized look on every reboot.

Animation Override

Seamlessly replaces the default bootanimation.zip with your custom files to change the visual sequence during startup.

Audio Customization

Provides the ability to inject or mute the boot audio (bootaudio.mp3) commonly found on carrier-specific or regional MIUI ROMs.

100% Systemless

Utilizes Magic Mount to overlay the media files. Your actual system partition is never written to, keeping your device safe.

How It Works

On Android, the boot animation is typically stored as a sequence of images in a zip archive located at /system/media/bootanimation.zip or sometimes within the /product partition. Xiaomi devices running MIUI or HyperOS heavily rely on these paths to render the startup screen.

Mi Boot Replacer intercepts the system's request to read these media files during the boot process. Through root-level bind-mounting (Magisk/KSU), it forces the operating system to load the custom bootanimation.zip provided inside the module folder instead of the stock firmware files.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can usually open the module's .zip file before flashing and replace the bootanimation.zip file located in the /system/media/ directory of the archive with your own. Ensure your custom zip is uncompressed (store-only).

No. The splash screen (the first logo you see when you turn on the phone, like the "Mi" or "POCO" logo) is hardcoded into a separate firmware partition (usually splash.img or logo.img). This module only changes the animated sequence that plays right after it.
