KernelSU Tuner (by Operit, ylh440104 on GitHub) is a KernelSU module that bundles kernel tuning, automatic profile switching, a charge limiter and per-app rules, controlled from a built-in WebUI. The author says every change it makes can be reversed.
What it tunes
- Four preset profiles, with CPU, GPU and devfreq frequency control.
- IO scheduler and read-ahead, VM, low memory killer, ZRAM, network, DNS and display settings.
- Optional kernel extensions: KSM, THP, schedtune, TCP, boost and file system tweaks, plus unlocking thermal zones.
- Custom parameters and presets, config import/export, and a preview of changes before they're applied.
Automation
- Autopilot: switches to a cooling profile when the temperature passes a threshold, optionally to the performance profile while charging, and back to the base profile otherwise.
- Battery guard: stops charging by writing to whichever charge-control node the phone has (
charging_enabled,input_suspend,batt_slate_mode,store_modeorcharge_disable). - Per-app policies: detects the foreground app through
dumpsysand applies that app's profile; also manages app standby. - A watchdog for its own background services, and three anti-wipe protection modes.
Requirements and installation
- KernelSU v0.9.0 or newer (it uses
ksud module configand init.rc injection), Android 10+, and kernel 4.14 or newer. The author tests on a 5.10 GKI kernel. - Install from the KernelSU manager (Modules, Install from storage) and reboot.
- It counts failed boots; after several in a row it leaves itself disabled and logs that safe mode was triggered.
