GSpyro is a legacy boot-time display tuning module that attempts to apply a fixed visual profile through kernel color-control interfaces commonly associated with KCAL.
Kernel-Level Display Profile
Designed to change display color behavior without a persistent user-interface application.
Boot-Time Script
A service script runs after installation to apply the packaged display tuning during device startup.
Kernel Dependent
The desired effect requires a kernel exposing the control nodes expected by the script; unsupported kernels may show no change.
Fixed Visual Tuning
The package describes its preset as a gaming and video profile, but it does not provide calibrated measurements for a particular display panel.
Compatibility
- Magisk 23.0 or newer is declared in
module.prop. - The installer explicitly recognizes boot-mode installation from Magisk or KernelSU and rejects recovery installation.
- A KCAL-compatible kernel is required for KCAL writes to have an effect.
- Another KCAL or display-tuning module must be removed first to avoid competing values.
Installation
- Confirm that the active kernel supports KCAL and remove every other KCAL tuning module.
- Download the archived ZIP using the page controls.
- Install it from the Magisk or KernelSU application; do not flash it from recovery.
- Reboot and inspect gradients, neutral gray, skin tones, black detail, and brightness behavior.
- If colors are clipped, tinted, or unchanged, disable the module and reboot.
