Thor
Thor represents a streamlined Android app manager and installer built entirely with Kotlin and enhanced by Material 3 design through Jetpack Compose. This privacy-focused utility runs completely offline as free and open-source software under the GPL-3.0 license, delivering a compact package under 4 MB that avoids all advertisements and tracking while remaining independent of Google services.
Functions and uses
The tool provides extensive capabilities for efficient device management, allowing users to install applications via root access, Shizuku, or standard methods alongside emerging Dhizuku support. It enables launching specific activities, performing batch reinstalls, uninstalls, or app terminations, and handling system packages through freeze, unfreeze, or removal operations. Additional features include APK sharing, data and cache clearing, sorting by installation source, split-app indicators, and state markers for frozen items, all protected by fingerprint lock and supported across dark, light, system, and AMOLED themes for flexible daily use.
How the module/application works
Thor achieves smooth performance by caching app metadata in a Room database for rapid loading and employs custom Kotlin-based bypasses for hidden APIs to ensure unrestricted operation. Its suCore component delivers reliable root functionality drawn from established open-source foundations, while Shizuku integration broadens accessibility for non-rooted setups. Dynamic Material 3 coloring adapts the interface automatically, maintaining full offline independence and user control without external dependencies. Source: https://github.com/trinadhthatakula/Thor
